How does RF Skin Tightening work?
Radio frequency can be delivered to different parts of the body using specific electrodes that deliver energy for selective treatment of skin.
During a RF treatment the dermis and the subdermal connective tissues (collagen protein fibres) are heated simultaneously. The heat forces collagen fibres to contract. The contracting fibres pull and tighten creating an immediate plumping and firming effect. Rf also stimulates the body to excelerate the selective breakdown of old fibrous collagen, resulting the creation of new fresh and supple collagen leaving a long term effect.
Most of the RF energy enters into the deeper dermal layer, causing the decreased wrinkle depth and leaving the skin firmer helping to contour the face and/or body.
This process is a non-invasive alternative to face-lift and other cosmetic surgeries.
